Boğaziçi University Alumni Association (BÜMED) was founded in 1985. Boğaziçi Magazine is the periodical publication of BÜMED for over 30 years. From the first issue published in 1988 to present, Boğaziçi Magazine aims to be the common voice of the all constituent of Boğaziçi University, to strengthen the relationship between the alumni and the association, and to reflect the deep-rooted culture of Boğaziçi University. As the most important part of BÜMED’s corporate communication policy, Boğaziçi Magazine has a highly regarded place among the periodicals published in Turkey. Every issue is distributed to 10.000 BÜMED members in Turkey and abroad for free.
Focusing on a specific science topic in each issue, Boğaziçi Magazine puts emphasis on giving coverage to both the subjects occupying the agenda, and the ones that are not discussed enough. Until today, the magazine has covered the fields such as artificial intelligence, migration, entrepreneurship, urbanization, energy, gastronomy, future, and water. By throwing them together on its pages, Boğaziçi Magazine invites alumni who work in different sectors to develop an idea, seek for a solution, and discuss around a common subject.
